Hi, I'm Kate!


I'm a textile artist with a love of travelling and the esoteric. I believe everything has the potential to become a new creative project, and because of this my house is literally scattered with these ideas.  

Im passionate about helping artists and makers discover the power of textile art as a way to finding your inner artist and develop mindfulness practices.

Through my Sashiko Stitch Club I help folks explore the transformative potential of textile art to unlock their creativity and cultivate mindfulness with monthly stitches, stitch-along projects, guest artists and Im excited to share that with you too through the Making Zen online retreat.

My goal is to empower you and give you permission to get creative, helping you to CRAFT a life you love.

At Making Zen we'll guide you to a deeper connection with your creativity through mindful textile arts

TEACHING YOU NEW TECHNIQUES AND OFFERING MINDFUL PRACTICES
THAT INSPIRE PERSONAL AND ARTISTIC GROWTH. 

The Details

When

 

Making Zen will run from

Monday 18 November to Friday 22 November

with a variety of workshops and interactive events to choose from each day.

 

Where

 

We love hanging out in our pjs and getting carried away with our latest creative project! With that being said, you can tune into the Retreat from the comfort of your couch, corner of the kitchen table or craft room, anywhere where you have internet access.

 

Workshops

 

Free workshops run anywhere from 30 minutes, some are longer, some are a little shorter. Each workshop will be available for 24 hours to encourage you to create along with thousands of other creatives like yourself. Different workshops will be available each day of the retreat.

The presentations will be right here on my website.

Community

 

You'll also have access to our Facebook Community for the retreat where we can gather and mingle before the retreat starts and share ideas and inspiration once MAKING ZEN begins and beyond.

We'll also be holding daily creative sessions where you can continue the joy of making in a virtual room with others.

Creative Fellowship

 

At Making Zen, we are committed to helping you unlock your creative potential through mindfulness and textile arts. Our Retreat is designed to nurture your creativity with ease, and to support that, we’ll be sharing insights and resources throughout the event.

On the final day, one engaged participant will be awarded a full Creative Fellowship, gaining access to exclusive workshops, resources, and the Sashiko Stitch Club for a year to continue their mindful crafting journey with ease.
